Our Tennis season runs from 1st August to 31 July each year.
Burnside Park Tennis Club offers the following memberships.
First Year Senior Membership:
Anyone who has not been a Senior Member previously is entitled to this subscription for one year only and has full playing rights as per the "Senior Member". Please chose this option if you have never played for Burnside Park Tennis Club previously.
Senior Membership:
Members of the Club aged 19 years and over.
Invited to all organised club tennis sessions (weather dependant)

- Tuesday 9:30 am - 11:00 am
- Tuesday (under lights) 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Thursday 9.30 am - 11:00 am
Invited to all organised club pickleball sessions (weather dependant)
- Tuesday 9:30 am - 11:00 am (currently at Nga Puna Wai during Winter)
- Tuesday (under lights) 7:00pm - 9.00pm weather permitting
- Thursday 9.30am - 11..00 am (currently at Nga Puna Wai during Winter)
Senior Casual Membership:
Members of the Club aged 19 years and over who only wish to use the courts privately. Such members cannot participate in the club organised playing times shown below. Casual members are not entitled to play Interclub.
Senior Interclub Membership:
These members have the same rights as a "Senior Casual Member" but may also play Interclub in a Sunday grade. This excludes Saturday mixed and Premier grades due to court availability.
Full-time Tertiary Student Membership:
Members who are full-time adult students. Full-time Tertiary Student Members have the same playing rights of Senior Members. A valid Student ID card is required to be eligible for this subscription. This membership runs from February to end of November to match the tertiary study year.
Alternatiely Students can choose the 2026/2027 Tennis Season option at a discounted rate to play from 1 August - 31st July.
Youth Interclub Membership:
Members aged 12 - 18 years inclusive who wish to play interclub competitions and have acces to courts all year with keycard option.
Junior Interclub Membership:
Members aged 11 years and under who wish to play interclub competitions and have access to courts all year with keycard option.
Junior Hotshots Members:
Members ages 5 to 15 years old who are learning how to play tennis but are not at the stage to play in interclub competitions. Access to courts all year with keycard.
Social Members:
Retiring members or others who care to maintain ties with the Club, but who are not able to remain active players, can pay this subscription which will entitle then to attend Club functions and to receive Club communications.
Our membership fees are updated monthly pro rata.
Pickleball Only Membership:
For those who wish to only pay Pickleball. This option is for being able to use the pickleball courts outside of session times and also attending the organised sessions each week.

Student Membership (Uni Year)

Full Time Tertiary Students. Has the same playing rights of Senior Members. Costs are calculated on the University of Canterbury Whole Year Semester being 17 February to 10 November 2026.
