CANCELLATIONS
- If you are unable to attend practice please notify the Head Coach (Nic).
- If it is raining or wet, please check the Facebook page or you will receive a text from our Head Coach.
- Tennis Canterbury manages the "wet weather cancellations" for Interclub. Decisions are made on their Facebook page, usually 45min-1hr before your game. Nic will also let team managers know so they can contact each parent/player.
FILL INS & ROSTER
Players may get asked to "fill in" for higher division teams (or higher age band) on request, especially if they are a reserve for the week. Team Managers are in charge of preparing a roster and giving each player a fair amount of matches during the season. With teams of 5, players will "stand down" once every 5 rounds and this can be done in order (#5, then #4, then #3 etc...) or done tactically (e.g. stand down #1 player vs 'weakest' opponent). If you do not have 4 players, please let Nic know ASAP so he can organize a fill-in.
PARENT/PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES
Edgeware Tennis Club expects great sportsmanship, positive team spirit and good tennis etiquette from our players. Parents should also have good sponsorship, support both teams and not get involved with any on-court coaching, line call/scoring disputes.
CLOTHING
All players must wear appropriate tennis clothing. Shoes must be trainers/sports shoes and have non-marking soles. We require all players to wear the Edgeware Tennis Club club shirt.
PLAYING ORDER
The playing order is set by Head Coach and cannot be changed during the season.
- This CANNOT be altered by parents/players as they wish.
- No. 1 must play in the top doubles match, and can partner any other team member.
- Junior Premier grades are done on S ranking and who has the highest points on that given day.
