Head Coach Jorden Le Long
Background:
I have had a passion for sport since a young age and played Tennis socially growing up in my hometown of Motueka. I moved to Christchurch for University in 2012, and this is where my Tennis Coaching career accelerated. I started off doing some volunteer coaching at Te Kura Tennis Club, and from there I really fell in love with the sport and developed my skills through watching other coaches and attending various courses.
I then moved up to Auckland in 2015 and was a Junior Coach at Karaka Tennis Club and then a Senior Coach at Pompallier Tennis Club. I then ascended to a Head Coach, with my most recent role being at Glendowie Tennis Club (2020-22).
My strength is the connections I make with all people. Getting to know someone and forming good relationships means you can get the most out of them during a coaching session, but also it motivates them to be there and to come outside of class to practice.
I'm also a strong Hotshots Coach right through from Blue to Green Stage. Again, being relatable to the kids, providing some humour and motivating them goes a long way to them wanting to come back each term.
I am an organised person and do things at 110%. I look forward to putting in a big effort at MLTC, and contributing to the overall success of the club moving forward. Please reach out to me anytime or come and say hello if you see me at the club!

Private Lesson $70 per hour. Plus $10 for each extra player on court

- 8 years as a Full-Time Career Coach
Qualifications:
- BSpC University of Canterbury
- ITF 2 Club Professional Coach Qualification
- ITF 1 Junior Development Qualification
