Restringing

Reasons why you should restring your racket:

  1. The strings deaden over time meaning you have to put more effort into getting anything out of your shots. Restringing will keep that racket lively and easier to use.
  2. A racket with old strings can cause injuries such as Tennis Elbow as you're having to work that much harder to get power etc out of your shot. Forcing/overhitting with a dead racket can cause this.
  3. You may be playing with the "factory strings". These are the ones that came with your racket when you brought it. Changing the strings and tension to suit your ability and gamestyle will give you an edge and a small improvement (can't guarantee grand slam success though sadly).
  4. You may have simply broken a string!

Fact: You should string your racket per year depending on how many times on average you play a week. E.g. if you play twice a week on average you should string your racket at least twice a year.

Cost: $50 for Labour + String. If you can provide your own string it's just $25 for it.
