Northcote Tennis Club is part of the Tennis Northern Association and plays in their interclub competitions.
Northcote has over 60 teams in the various competitions so offers opportunities to players of all ages and abilities to play against players of a similar level. Competitions offer a choice of Singles or Doubles, Mens, Womens and Mixed matches.
Senior Interclub:
I know it seems a bit crazy to be thinking about summer tennis in the middle of winter, but preparations are already underway for the upcoming Senior Interclub season.
If you would like to play Interclub during the 2026/27 season, please complete the registration form using the link below. Even if you are only available occasionally, we'd still love to hear from you, as reserve players are an important part of keeping teams going throughout the season.
We need to gather this information from all members interested in playing so that teams can be organised well ahead of the Tennis Northern entry deadline.
A quick note regarding Mixed Doubles: last season, our biggest challenge was finding enough men to fill our teams. Putting together balanced teams depends entirely on the numbers we have available, and while we'd love to create the perfect mix, we can only work with the players who put their names forward!
So, gentlemen, if you've been thinking about giving Interclub a go, now is the time. We'd love to have you involved, and it will help us provide the best playing opportunities for everyone.
Please also consider whether you could Captain a team this season. We can't enter teams without Captains, and while the role does involve some organisation, it's not an onerous task and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Junior Interclub:
INVITATION TO ALL JUNIOR INTERCLUB PLAYERS FOR THE 2026/2027 SEASON
We would like to invite any junior tennis players aged 9 to 18 years who would like to play weekly matches (singles and doubles) in a team competition, which runs from October 2026 through to March 2027, to please register their interest by 31st August 2026.

Playing Times
Matches are held each week and run for 8 weeks pre and post Christmas. The match times for the various age groups are:
Prems: Sunday 11am
Aged under 18yrs: Friday 5pm (this time may change)
Aged under 15yrs: Saturday 10.30am / 1pm
Aged under 12yrs: Saturday 8am
Aged under 10yrs: Sunday 8.30am
The pre Christmas games begin the weekend starting Friday 16 October. The post Christmas games begin the weekend starting Friday 12 February.
Coaching
To arrange coaching and for information on fees, please contact our new Head Coach, Elliot Le Petit at Tennis Global on 020 4013 5155 or via the website www.tennisglobal.co.nz.
Interclub players will be placed in one of two groups, either a Teen Intermediate group or a Tournament group.
Another important note is that coaching will take place during all school terms. The next coaching programme starts at the beginning of Term 3 on Monday 20th July.
Junior Membership Fees
Once registrations are closed all confirmed players will receive a notice of their club membership fee. The membership subscription fee to the club for the 2026/2027 season is $120.00 per player. Please be reminded that to play interclub your child must be a paid up member of the club for the current season. Also just to confirm, junior interclub fees are included in the $120.00 club membership fee.
Please note that coaching fees are separate and invoiced through Tennis Global.
Once we have heard back from you, teams will be created. Jane Davis, our Junior Convenor, will then let you know by email, before the start of the competition, which team your child is in and who the Team Manager will be, along with their contact details, and any other relevant information.
The Team Manager will also be in touch with you to arrange a schedule of play, sharing of the team contact details, and setting up an easy mode for team communications on an agreed team communication app, i.e. WhatsApp or Team Reach.

Midweek Interclub:
The Midweek Committee enters teams in an interclub competition which runs from October till March at clubs across the North Shore. This is a competitive league held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am and has grades for all levels, ranging from Premier to C Grade.
