
Northcote Tennis Club is part of the Tennis Northern Association and plays in their Interclub competitions.
Northcote has over 60 teams in the various competitions so offers opportunities to players of all ages and abilities to play against players of a similar level. Competitions offer a choice of Singles or Doubles, Mens, Womens and Mixed matches.

Members at Northcote Tennis Club organise their own teams and enter their team's registration with Tennis Northern.

Junior Interclub:
Teams are selected by the Junior Convenor and Club Coach. Teams are managed by designated parents. Several teams are available for different skill levels.

Invitation to all Junior Interclub Players
2025/2026 Season
We would like to invite any junior tennis players aged 9 to 18 years who would like to play weekly matches (singles and doubles) in a team competition, which runs from October 2025 through to March 2026, to please register their interest by 31st August 2025.
Parents/Caregivers of children interested in participating can email the following information to juniors@northcotetennis.com:

- Parent contact mobile telephone number (to be used for team and club communications)

For children who have been participating in the Beginners Programme and may be ready to move to the Junior competition please contact Deanne, our Head Coach, on 021 032 7175, to discuss.

Playing Times
Matches are held each week and run for 8 weeks pre and post Christmas. The match times for the various age groups are:
Prems: Sunday 11am
Aged under 18yrs: Friday 5pm
Aged under 15yrs: Saturday 10.30am / 1pm
Aged under 12yrs: Saturday 8am
Aged under 10yrs: Sunday 8.30am
Coaching Times
Each Junior club member attends an hour of team coaching a week. The session times for the various age groups are:
Prems: As Under 18yrs
Under 18yrs Girls: Thursday 5pm
Under 18yrs Boys: Thursday 4pm
Under 15yrs Girls: Wednesday 5pm
Under 15yrs Boys: Wednesday 4pm
Under 12yrs Girls: Monday 4.30pm
Under 12yrs Boys: Tuesday 4.30pm
Under 10yrs Mixed: Tuesday 3.30pm
(Please note that coaching times and days are subject to registration numbers.)
Once we have received registration information, teams will be created. Parents will be notified, before the start of the competition, which team their child/ren are in and who the Team Manager is, along with their contact details, and any other relevant information.
The Team Manager will also be in touch to arrange a schedule of play, sharing of the team contact details, and setting up an easy mode for team communications on an agreed team communication app, ie. WhatsApp or Team Reach.
Fees
Once registrations are closed, all confirmed players will receive a notice of their membership fee. The membership fee for the 2025/2026 season per player is $380. Please be reminded that to play interclub your child must be a paid up member of the club for the current season.

Midweek Interclub:
The Midweek Committee of Northcote enters teams in an interclub competition which runs from October till March at clubs across the North Shore. This is a competitive league held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am and has grades for all levels, ranging from Premier to C Grade. More information will be made available as we get closer to the 2025/26 season starting.
