Some important reminders:

Time Management. Be warmed up and ready to play before your allocated match time.  If you are more than 20 minutes late, your opposition has the right to cancel the match and claim the win.  Teams to use their discretion around this rule, sometimes certain circumstances such as traffic delays are unavoidable.

Balls. Teams to provide their own team balls.

Weather. If interclub is cancelled due to weather conditions, please check in with your interclub coordinator or refer to the Tennis Manawatu facebook page.  Cancellations are made on a club by club basis.

Results. All results must be entered by your club.  Do not send scoresheets to Tennis Manawatu (unless you have special authority to do so)  Refer to your interclub coordinator for more information.

Order of Play.  Teams of 4 are to play two singles and 1 doubles match first, then reverse play.  Teams of two refer to the draws as to order of play.

Team Commitment.  Remember this is a team sport and your commitment to the team is critical for a successful season.  If you are sick or unavailable to attend due to personal circumstances, please let your interclub coordinator know asap.

Etiquette. Please follow the general tennis etiquettes.  This includes rolling the ball back to your opposition under the net, not walking behind courts while they are in play, and general good sportsmanship.

Parents.  Please leave your children to score their games.  If you need to intervene please do this moderately and only if required. Please watch and support from the side of the court (not on the court).

Remember to have fun!  This is junior tennis and the experience should be a positive one for everyone!
