Tennis Participant Protection
Tennis Manawatu adheres to the Tennis NZ Tennis Participant Protection Regulation (TPPR), which was established in 2018 and refreshed in 2025. The purpose of the TPPR is to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone participating in tennis activities throughout New Zealand.
The regulation applies to all tennis organisations and anyone involved in any aspect of tennis. It provides a framework for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and supports individuals who wish to raise concerns or make a complaint about something they have experienced or witnessed.
Tennis NZ has developed safeguarding resources to assist New Zealand Tennis Organisations in meeting their responsibilities under the TPPR.
