Introduction
The Waihi Beach Tennis Club was established in 1931. It is well known to have the best views in the land and is situated alongside the Pohutukawa Scenic Reserve with overhanging Pohutukawa and frequent flying visits from native pigeons. We have 6 artificial grassed courts of which 2 have floodlighting. Spacious club rooms complete the picture and all this only 200 mts from Waihi Beach.
The friendly, social atmosphere of the Waihi Beach Tennis Club is another of our attractions and we play 12 months of the year! For those of you who enjoy social tennis for exercise or fitness, we play every Tuesday and Friday morning 12 months of the year. Just turn up between 8.30/9am and you will receive a warm welcome. We usually play for between 1 - 2 hours ( your choice) and a following coffee is also very popular. Presently we have over 100 financial senior members.
Tennis is very popular in summer on Thursday nights (starts at 5.30 pm).
Casual bookings at our club are most welcome. Online booking is necessary.
