In the September'22 Newsletter we alerted everyone to the new process of paying membership fees online through the ClubSpark digital platform.  Members have found that the ClubSpark platform has been relatively easy to use. As also indicated, the next stage of the ClubSpark rollout is the Book A Court module that runs off the Club's new website, under the "Bookings" tab, which will appear once we launch.  For those that are still to visit our new website, go to https://clubspark.kiwi/WaihiBeachTennisClub

The Book a Court module is a web based platform that will go live in the coming week. From launch date, all tennis played at Waihi Beach Tennis Club will need to be pre-booked using the email address and passwood used by members when subscribing  for their  membership.  Bookings for Club days, Wednesday night tennis, coaching & tournaments will be block booked on behalf of participants by your committee admin. team.  Members will gain access to the courts at no cost, while non-members will be required to pay a fee based on booking duration to gain access. This effectively replaces the honesty box system for 90% or more of non-member bookings. The occasions that the honesty box will be used for will then be limited to contributions of casual players playing with existing members ($5) or casual players who have joined paying non-members (but have not been included in the fee calculation.)

All courts 1-6 will need to be booked from launch date. Courts 1-2 can only be booked by members of the club, while Courts 3-6 can be booked by both club members & casual players.  The cost of a booking for casual non-members will be $8 per person per half hour.

Once a booking has been made & paid for (club members - no cost), A PIN will be emailed to you.  This PIN will open the New Gates on Courts 3-6. Bookings made for Courts 1-2 will also generate a PIN, however this should be ignored.  The plan is to have a manual combination to Courts 1-2 that only financial members will know.  Casual players will not be able to book Courts 1-2.

Initially the following restrictions will apply subject to regular review.

• Members can book 7 days in advance
• Casual players can book 3 days in advance.
• For casual players, refunds will only be provided for cancellations within 24 hours of their booking. The committee will exercise their judgement for requests for refunds inside the 24 hour time frame.
• Bookings will be available in 30 minute slots. A maximum of 4 slots (2 hours) can be booked for any 1 booking.
