Wairarapa Tennis - Junior Interclub Term 4, 2026
Entries for Junior Interclub are officially open.
Teams can now be entered via the MatchPoint site here.
You will need to log in to MatchPoint, so if you don’t already have an account, please create one first.

Once logged in:
- Select your personal profile
- Select Competitions → Available
- Select the appropriate Wairarapa Junior Interclub competition
- Enter your team details and players as prompte
- Entries Close: Friday 25th September 5pm (Last day of TERM 3).
- Draw out: Saturday 3rd October.
TEAM FORMAT
- 4 players - girls/boys, +1 rotating reserve recommended.
- 4 Singles & 2 Doubles are played.
AGE GROUP
Primary, Intermediate, Year 9, and 10 College players from Wairarapa Clubs or Schools.
CLUB AFFILIATION
Schools may enter teams but ALL players must be a member of one of the seven Wairarapa Clubs.
WHEN
- Entry Level: 3.30pm Tuesdays
- Friday Night: 3.30pm Fridays
COMPETITION LENGTH
- Primary Entry Grade: 6 weeks including finals on Tuesday 24th November.
- Friday Night: 7 rounds, including finals on Friday 27th November
MATCH FORMAT
- Entry Grade is first to 7 games.
- Friday Night is 2 sets to 4 games, with a 3rd set super tie-break if required.
GRADES
- Entry Level Players – Year 6 & below (generally players playing in their 1st or 2nd season of interclub).
- Friday - Lower Grades: Teams with players with some experience – Year 8 and below.
- Friday - Higher Grades (including Championship): Teams with players with good experience – Year 9 and below (Term 4 2026).
- Schools & clubs should contact Wairarapa Tennis for an exemption if a Year 10 player is wanting to play junior interclub.
Wairarapa Tennis will asses the points of individuals and the combined team points and allocate teams to the most appropriate grade.
