Join the club and join in the fun!

Being a member of the Johnsonville Tennis Club links you to the club, the local tennis scene and the wider community. You get the chance to play competitive interclub tennis and can participate in club competitions. Importantly, you support a Johnsonville community facility that's been around for over 100 years and hopes to be around for a lot longer.

We offer a range of membership packages for individuals, couples and families and remain one of the lowest priced tennis clubs in the Wellington region. 

How to join. To become a member of the club, follow these easy steps:

1. Click the "JOIN NOW" button next to the membership package below that matches you or your child.
2. Click Register, enter your login details, and click Sign Up (or sign in if you already have a ClubSpark account).
3. Enter membership details.  If joining a child, enter child details and parent/guardian contact details.
4. Click Next and Continue and follow the payment instructions (note the online payment facility is not yet activated, so payments will need to be made directly to the Club's bank account listed).

We currently have five different types of membership categories available to new and existing Senior members, and typically two membership categories for Juniors.  At the moment, our Junior membership will likely be available in January . Each membership category provides different levels of access to the courts and clubhouse, as well as participation rights into club tournaments.

Our season runs from 1st October to 30th September, and membership fees are set annually at the AGM (usually in August). If members join partway through the season after 1st February, the membership fee is pro-rated, after allowing for affiliation and administration costs. Refund of Membership Fees

The club does not indemnify members against events that might prevent a membership from being utilised as planned, including events such as injury, illness, holidays, unexpected work commitments, unexpected travel, or moving away. Consequently, membership fees are not refundable.  However, the Committee may consider applications for refunds in exceptional circumstances; these will need to made in writing to the Secretary for consideration by the Committee.

Following is a list of options available for a full season membership: 

Senior & Tertiary membership:  Members are encouraged to participate in all club arranged activities i.e. clubdays,  tournaments/championships and social events. Senior & Tertiary members can register for interclub and have access to the courts anytime outside of interclub and club arranged activities. These memberships includes use of floodlights for evening play.  Note that tertiary members are required to provide proof of enrolment at a tertiary institution.

Couple membership - as for Seniors where a partner wishes to be member as well. 

Family membership - a family unit of up to two adults and three children.

Casual membership only has access to the courts outside of interclub and club arranged activities. No access to lights.

Junior membership - children under the age of 18.  (please check back later in November for an update on this)

Junior Club Day is all go!

5-7 years - 3:30-4:15pm

8-10 years - 4:15-5pm

10-12 years - 5pm-6pm

This is club funded and FREE for all Johnsonville junior club members! This program will run for 8 weeks across Term 4.

Membership category fees for the 2024/25 season are per the table below. There is a discount of $20 if the fee is paid before 12 October 2024. Members who participate in interclub teams are asked to contribute an additional $4 per interclub match which goes towards the cost of registration of the interclub team.
