New Smart Gates

Important updates and information on court bookings

I am excited to share that there have been significant updates happening at the club this week.

With funding support from Tennis New Zealand, installation of the new smart gates has taken place.

The new digital keypads have been installed in three areas; on the gate to the courts, the main door of the club as well as the door to the upstairs lounge. The system is fully integrated to the club website, court booking page, our membership database and even our flood lights.

The main change is that your existing swipe cards will not work anymore*

Court access is now via PIN number only.

How to book a court

  1. Make sure your membership is up to date (you will not be able to book a court if your membership has lapsed).
  2. Go to our website https://clubspark.kiwi/miramartennisclub
  3. Login and click on the booking sheet.
  4. Select the time, duration and court you wish to book.
  5. Please complete all fields presented. Don’t just skip through this step. Please be accurate with this information and use the drop-down menus.**
  6. Once you have confirmed the booking you will be provided a PIN number.
  7. The PIN number will be active approximately 10mins prior to the booking, during the booking and for 10mins after the booking.
  8. The PIN will allow you to enter the court gates and the main entry to the club where you can access the bathrooms.
  9. Simply enter the four-digit PIN and press enter.

There are more functionalities being programmed, however, the above court booking process will service 95% of our requirements.

For now, only the club committee, administrators and coaches have been provided access to the upstairs lounge.

As we get used to the changes, the lights will remain as we have traditionally used them. Lights can be turned on at the switch board, located inside the main door of the club (to the left as you walk in). Lights must be turned off by 10pm as per our resource consent. *For those who have just recently purchased a new swipe card, the club will refund you.

**Different levels of booking administrators will see slightly different things. If you are a booking administrator, please use the advanced options. This will allow you to book multiple courts, add participants, etc. Administrators, please ensure you assign the booking to a person so they receive a PIN number.
