Membership

For new members and full-time tertiary students, we offer a $99 deal which allows you to get all the benefits of senior membership at this hugely discounted rate during your first season. Please see the membership page for more details.

Regular senior membership includes a court and club house key so you can organise your own games or practice any time the courts are available (ie: not booked for coaching, interclub matches, or BTC events).

Membership includes the opportunity to take part in club events and tournaments and includes affiliation to Tennis NZ and Tennis Northern.  Please note that there is an additional charge for those wishing to play interclub.

​Club Days

If you're wanting to put your game skills to the test, Club Days are Wednesdays from 7pm-10pm and Sundays from 3pm-5pm (or until we're all tired enough to go home for a rest and dinner). We also have midweek social matches on Wednesdays from 9:30am-11:30am. Any of these times are good for a visit - bring your racquet and your shoes and have a go, or just sit and enjoy the art of spectating!  Club days run all year round.

Interclub

Birkenhead Tennis Club is part of the Tennis Northern Association and plays in their Interclub competitions. 

Birkenhead has teams across the various competitions so has opportunities for players of all abilities to play against players of a similar level.  Competitions offer a choice of Singles or Doubles, Mens, Womens and Mixed matches playing on different days or evenings.

The Summer Interclub season starts in September and runs throughout summer. We have a number of Senior Interclub teams and always welcome more players. 

There are also options to play Winter Interclub.
