From Thursday 14 April 2022 until further notice, Kilbirnie Tennis Club is operating under the following COVID-19 Protection Framework ORANGE Traffic Light restrictions.

Wear a mask

Masks are recommended when in the clubrooms. They are not required when outdoors.

Masks must be secured with ear loops or head straps. Medical grade, N95, or P2 masks should be used.

Children aged 11 or younger are exempt from wearing masks.

Maintain good hygiene and cleaning habits

Keep up good hygiene measures, including washing and drying hands before and after any activity and coughing/sneesing into your elbow.

Exercise caution with common touch points (gates and doors) and wash or sanitise your hands after touching these surfaces.

Wash and dry equipment before and after playing and minimise sharing of equipment and balls.

Bring your own hand sanitiser. With an access card, the clubrooms are open to club members with a My Vaccine Pass where you can also wash and dry or sanitise your hands. Water, hand soap, and paper towels are available in bathrooms and hand sanitiser is available on a table in the main room.

Keep your distance

Try to maintain physical distance from others when at the club. For example:

  • Change ends at the other side of the net to your opponent
  • Don’t congregate at the net
  • Keep your distance when talking to others
  • Use racquet bumps instead of handshakes

Isolate if sick and get tested

If you have cold or flu symptoms, play it safe. Isolate immediately and call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for a COVID-19 test.

No gathering limits

From 14 April 2022, there are no limits on the number of people permitted in the clubrooms or outside. However, if more than eight people in the clubrooms, the doors should be kept open to improve ventilation.

No vaccine pass required

From 5 April 2022, Kilbirnie Tennis Club is no longer restricted to people with a My Vaccine Pass.  People without a vaccine pass may use the courts, clubrooms, and the surround.  This applies to club members, casual players (provided casual fees are paid), interclub players from other clubs, coaches, and students being taught by coaches.
