A New Look Kohi Tennis
Kohimarama Tennis Clubhouse varies in age from the 1960s through to a 1990s addition and requires a significant amount of maintenance. In recent years the club has invested significantly in court surfaces and lighting. Clubhouse maintenance and development is now the key focus...
The club funds facility development and maintainance through a combination of club funds, grants, donations and fundraising carried out by club members.
During May 2024 we carried out an upgrade to our kitchen and bar area to provide a facility that serves club members, casual players and community users of the facilities. In addition the club carpet was replaced in January 2025. Both pieces of work where successfully completed with funds donated and raised by members in conjunction with club funds.
CURRENT WORKS
The clubs current project is the replacement of the flat membrane roof. This is a major undertaking requiring in the region of $100,000. Grants are being applied for however due the the difficulty of securing the full amount the work has been broken into stages, the first of which will commence August 25. This will address the most badly damaged area of the roof with the remaining to be carried out as funds allow.
The roof is currently protected by tarpaulins, this is slowing any damage however the full roof urgently needs replaced.
