The courts at Nelson Lawn Tennis Centre are available to the public year-round. Grab some friends and book your court online to get started.
Coaching is available to members of Nelson Lawn Tennis Club.
We offer several membership options to fit your needs. We love our club coaches at Calder Tennis. They are incredible and have sessions for all ages available, in both group and individual sessions.
New to town? Don't have anyone to play with?
Contact us and we'll get you connected. We also offer a Rebo Wall for hitting practice.
MONDAYS

TUESDAYS
Adult coaching
Members can enjoy adult coaching sessions with Calder Tennis. Fees apply ($15-$20 depending on numbers). Contact coach Ash to register: ash@caldertennis.co.nz
Beginner adults: 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Intermediate players: 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Competitive: 10:30-Noon
Junior coaching 3-18 years
Members can enjoy afterschool junior coaching sessions with Calder Tennis. Fees apply. Contact coach Ash to register: ash@caldertennis.co.nz
3-5 years: 3:30-4:15 p.m.
5-8 years: 3:30-4:15 p.m.
9-10 years: 4:15-5:15 p.m.
11-13 years: 5:15-6:15 p.m.
13+ years: 6:15-7:45 p.m.
Competitive player*: 6:15-7:45
* Coaches will determine ability qualification
WEDNESDAYS
9:30-11:30 a.m. — Open Club Days: Social Doubles
We welcome all who can serve, rally and score, to join us. $5 fee for non-members. Members free. No registration required.
5:30 - 7:30 — DIV 1 and DIV 2 Doubles
Come down for some good competitive tennis. $7 members / $10 non-members to cover light and ball costs. Contact our Club Captain to get more details and looped in clubcaptain@nelsonlawntennisclub.com
