money for Nelson lawn tennis club.

Everyone is welcome!

We guarantee that for your $20 donation you will have a lot of fun and learn something interesting or useful. The convenor of the workshop gets the satisfaction of sharing their talent, socialising with friends, meeting new people and doing something for the club and community.

Game, Set & Checkmate – Chess Workshop

The Game, Set & Checkmate Workshop, led by chess instructor Rami Riachi, is a fun and engaging way to dive into chess, designed for beginners and intermediate players of all ages.
It will take place upstairs at the Squash Club, next to the bar – Saltwater Creek Lane, Nelson 7010.

This workshop offers the chance to start from scratch or refine your skills, explore strategies, and enjoy exciting variants like 4-player chess, all in a relaxed environment. The session includes a fun quiz, puzzles, tactics, and interactive activities to boost creativity and growth on the chessboard.

All proceeds will go to NLTC. Suggested entry: $20.
