Saturday Morning Programme - September through to early April
START date for 2023/24 is Saturday 2nd September
Just turn up at the times indicated below:
8.30am - 9.20am - Hot Shots Red Stage:
This program is worked in with the existing primary schools around Greendale Tennis Club and a more comprehensive program is run for kids aged 4 - 8 on a Saturday morning. Greendale Tennis Club is a community play centre for Hot Shots.
No queues, kids working together, correct courts, balls and equipment and plenty of opportunities for play. The four key elements of any Tennis Hot Shots Session are:
- FUN: Players are actively engaged, excited and motivated to participate
- TACTICAL/PLAY: Players think and make decisions about meaningful tennis situations.
- SKILLS: Players have plenty of opportunities to improve their tennis skill
- SOCIAL: Players build social skills such as working cooperatively with a partner, building friendships, encouraging teammates and showing sportsmanship during game play.
9.30am - 10.30am - Hot Shots Orange Stage/Green Stage:
For those kids (9-14 year olds) looking to play more tennis including interclub on a Friday night. Come along and learn the basics of tennis, the correct grips, where to stand, and basic tactics.
An hour of tennis in a fun, safe environment.
10.30am - 11.30am - Blue Group / Silver Group / Gold Group:
This group is for kids just starting in the Blue Group and able to serve through to our top Juniors at Gold level. This one hour session is for you! 6 courts of practise, honing your doubles skills and 3 courts of coaching with some of our top juniors and qualified coaches. Social, Fun, Competitive. You're going to love it!
