Hutt Valley Tennis Association

Hutt Valley Tennis is the Regional Tennis Organisation responsible for the governance, delivery, and development of tennis for its 900 affiliated members spread across eight Tennis Clubs in the Hutt Valley.

The Mitchell Park Tennis Centre is the key asset used by Hutt Valley Tennis to host all major activity including tournaments, interclub, midweek, leagues, schools tennis, coaching, and public hire.  It is well utilised and visited by more than 60,000 players, supporters, coaches, school children, and private visitors each year.  

The Mitchell Park Tennis Centre was first built in 1946 by the Hutt City Council and today includes 13 tennis courts plus a large 1,500m2 pavilion featuring squash courts, bar, kitchen, lounges and pro shop. Currently the Centre is being upgraded with the build of the Indoor Stadium with four tennis courts.

Hutt Valley Tennis is a not-for-profit incorporated society and is an affiliated member of Tennis New Zealand.
