Format:
Teams of 4 men/women (including junior boys 14 and over/girls 12 and over with reasonable grading points). Approval must be sought from Tennis Waikato Thames Valley for children below this age group. A reasonable tennis level will be expected before approval given to play in adult grades.
Division 1
Played weekly 6pm Friday at Clubs.
Teams of four – Men or women.
Tie to consist of four singles and two doubles.
Play two sets up to 6 then super 10. Long deuce singles and Short deuce doubles.
Supper to be supplied by the host team.
Players must have played 50% of games to play in finals.
Order of play can be played in any order of singles and doubles.
Division 2 & 3
Played weekly 6pm Friday at Clubs.
Teams of four – Men or women.
Tie to consist of four singles and two doubles.
Play two sets up to 6 then super 10. Long deuce singles and Short deuce doubles.
If one set all, short deuce on all doubles games.
Dinner by mutual agreement of teams – check on Wednesday before fixture whether visitors will stay or not.
Order of play can be played in any order of singles and doubles.
30 & Over
Played weekly 5.30pm Tuesday night at the Waikato Tennis Centre.
Teams of 2 men and 2 women (a member of any affiliated Tennis Waikato Thames Valley club). Teams can have a mix of members from different clubs.
Tie to consist of four doubles.
Play two sets (7 point tie breaker for 3rd set).
Short deuce on all games.
Order of play to be mixed doubles, then doubles.
