Important Dates: Student and Adult Interclub.
30/7/26 – All feedback gathered and we will meet again to finalise.
15/8/26 – All teams to be entered by. Club Captains should consider getting together early to swap / utilise spare players to make additional teams. We should look outside of our local clubs to see if we can attract players from around the region to come and play in our competition.
 
All grades
Interclub will look to start on the weekend of 4th September. For mixed and Div 2, this will see a slightly longer season by approximately 8 weeks. This will allow nicely for the holiday weekends etc where no play is scheduled and potential rain cancellations. There will be finals playoffs built into their season and we will look to have all finals played on the same day at the same location followed by a prizegiving and BBQ or similar.

Mixed
Will retain the same format as last year with a one set of doubles and one set of mixed doubles played on the day. These will be best of three sets.
 
Venues
We have historical agreements to play a number of matches at the Edgar Centre, in a use it or loose it type situation for tennis. We don’t want to loose it! This is a great facility, but we know sometimes this means playing inside when the weather is great outside. To work with this, we will spread the venues divisions / teams will play at throughout the season across a mix of the Stevensons Centre, Edgar Centre and your clubs.
 
Rules
Fixtures for Mixed will play best of three sets. This will include long duces, 7 point tie breaks and 10 point super ties for set deciders.
Player must have played 3 times to be eligible to play in finals series.

No Play Weekends
No interclub played on the following holiday weekends:
Labour Weekend 23/10 - 25/10
Waitangi Weekend 6/2 – 8/3 and Otago Anniversary Weekend
Easter weekend - 2027- 26/3 – 29/3
Consider also local tournaments: Otago Open, Teams Event, Otago Indoor Open.
 
Match Point
Prior to the start of the season, we need to ensure all team captains know how to use the phone app version of Match Point so points are all entered on the day.
Match Point training sessions will be held.
Additional Match Point administrator will be provide to club admin reps.
