🎾 Interclub Highlights

Senior Interclub
The season is off to a strong start! We've entered five teams in the Tennis Otago competition:

  • Division 1

  • Division 2

  • Three Mixed Grade teams

Huge thanks to Hugo and Russell for managing the teams, and to all our captains for keeping everything running smoothly.

Junior Interclub
Our juniors are bringing the energy once again with three Division 1 teams and one Division 2 team competing this season.
Big thanks to Dean, our Junior Club Captain, for getting another great year underway.

🎾 Social Tennis

Social Tennis Times:

  • Sundays: 2:30 - 4:30 pm

  • Tuesdays: 6 - 8 pm

We usually fill three courts and there's always room for more. All abilities welcome, balls provided, and feel free to try a session for free.

📲 Join the WhatsApp group to stay in the loop (ask a coordinator).
☔ If it's wet, we'll try to move to the Edgar Centre - updates will be shared via WhatsApp.

➡ Social Tennis restarts Tuesday 6th January.

🎾 Book a Court

Members can book courts for free via the website. Once logged in, you'll receive a gate code - please remember to lock up when you leave.

Non-members can also book online for $16/hour, which has been hugely popular. You'll also find upcoming events listed there.

🌳 Around the Club

Our courts are looking fantastic thanks to:

  • Peter E & Josh - hours of waterblasting

  • Russell D & Peter D - fence, sign, and noticeboard repairs

  • Russell H - soon to be painting the noticeboard

Thank you to everyone who pitched in - it really shows.

🏗 Court Sponsors

A big thank you to our sponsors for their continued support:
Highgate Partners, OFS Insurance Brokers, Cooke Howlison BMW, Night 'n Day, and Dwelling Architectural Design.

☕ Member Perks

Don't forget - Balmacewen Tennis Club members are welcome to enjoy the Golf Club's lounge, deck, and facilities. Please respect their rules and remember to return glasses to the bar.

🙌 Thank You

A massive thank-you to our volunteers, committee members, coaches, and everyone who helps out when something needs doing. If you'd like to get involved, keep an eye out for our next working bee - it's a great way to give back and meet other members.

We hope you have a great holiday break and we'll see you back on court in the new year - ready for more rallies, laughs, and great tennis.

See you on court!
Warm regards,
The Balmacewen Tennis Club Committee

Tennis Otago this year have provided funding for Tennis development in local schools. Mat and Omar have been busy going into local schools or hosting schools at the club during Term 4 this year and it will continue in Term 1 next year. You may have seen the Club Facebook posts showing how successful it is. Thanks Mat, Omar and Tennis Otago.
