Mixed Social Tennis Student and Adult combined
Please come along and join in. You can play for free three times then you can join up.
Summer Social Tennis
Starting Tuesday 1st October until 25th March 2025. Tuesdays 6-8pm at the Club and Sundays from 3:00-5pm at the club. If wet it maybe at the Edgar Centre. Door charge fee applies at the Edgar Centre
Organised Doubles play for Adult and Students Combined. Interclub and Beginner players combined and balls are provided. Bar open.
Organised on the night with balls included. Bar open afterwards. We will try to arrange those who are there in combinations so that players of different abilities have good competitive matches.

Book a Court
The Balmacewen Tennis Club can NOW offer easy court access for the entire community! Do you wish to have a hit with your family? Challenge some friends to a friendly match? If you are not a member it's no problem! All you need to do is select a booking timeframe, and which court. It's that easy! Once your payment is made, you'll be emailed a unique code which you can then use to open the smart lock to play.
First time users who are not a member will be prompted to create a profile in order to make a booking.
Members can use it for FREE as a way of having quick easy access to the courts without the need for a key. Just make sure you are logged into your Clubspark account so there's no charges.
Note: Courts maybe slippery if still wet, especially the top astroturf courts.
Pickle Ball
Run on Sundays 1:30pm at the club through the year $10 per session (subject to numbers). Organised by Mat Mc Cutcheon with all gear provided. Come along and join in the fun.
Lobster Ball Machine available for members. $65 fee per year. Please visit the Student Adult page near the bottom for more information.

- New Tennis & Golf junior beginner coaching package on Tuesdays
- Beautiful location with native birds set in the Otago Golf Course grounds.
- Two Plexipave resurfaced in US Open colours in 2019 and three new 2015 Tigerturf artificial grass courts.
- Wet weather play on top courts or at Edgar Centre. (Door charge)
