News from the Auckland Junior Championships
In the 10U Boys’ Doubles event, Tony Xu delivered an outstanding performance to claim the championship title, showing great composure and teamwork throughout the tournament. Meanwhile, Lucas Gouws fought hard and earned an impressive runner-up finish, demonstrating excellent skill and determination on court. Huge congratulations to both players on their fantastic achievements—proud moment and well deserved! Keep shining!

Our Junior Stars Shine at 2026 Autumn Championships
At the 2026 Tennis Northern Tier 3 Autumn Junior Championships, our club’s young players delivered outstanding performances. Lucas Zhou and Tony Xu reached the 10U boys’ doubles final. Tony Xu also made the 10U boys’ singles final, while Oliver He impressed by winning the singles title. Congratulations to all three players on their excellent achievements!

BBRC Juniors Succeed at 14U Kiwi Junior Indoor Chmapionships 2025
BBRC Juniors achieved excellent results at the 41U Kiwi Indoor Championships 2025, a National Tier 1 tournament featuring the country's top 16 boys and girls competing in both singles and doubles.

Red Nose Day at BBRC - 24 July 2025
A Red Nose Day to raise funds for Cure Kids (Children’s Cancer Charity) was held at the club during Tut's Tourney on 24 July. Thanks to Jo Harwood of Bayleys for organising and sponsoring this event. Thanks to the volunteers who helped make it a huge success. $313.50 for was raised for Cure Kids. See the colourful photos below. The Meat Pack Prize was won by Grant Nilsson. The One Truth 818 Serum skincare product - generously donated by Chris D'aguiar-Sanders was won my Paul McPhee.

Lucy Zhou at the ASB Classic
Top junior, Lucy Zhou, won “The Manuka Doctor Road to the ASB Classic tournament”. It brings together the top eight 14u young players from across the country, who qualify through regional events held in Christchurch, Wellington, Mount Maunganui, and Auckland. Lucy had an incredible opportunity to compete at the main event for the title on the Centre Court of the ASB Classic, in front of a packed crowd that is excited to celebrate homebred talent.
