Code of Conduct

Kohi Tennis Club wish to provide a safe, welcoming environment for members and the wider community to enjoy tennis and the clubhouse and courts area.

By joining KTC you are a member of TNZ and have agreed to comply with TNZs Policies. These are available HERE

 

Code of Conduct

As a member of a New Zealand Tennis Entity (NZTE) or a person required to comply with TNZs Participation Policy, you must meet the following requirements in regard to your conduct during any activity held or sanctioned by TNZ and any NZTE and in any role you hold within TNZ or an NZTE.

All members / participants

  1. Respect the rights, dignity and worth or every individual as a human being regardless of gender, disability, ethnic origin or religion
  2. Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealings with others
  3. Conduct themselves in a sportsperson-like manner and respect fellow, players, coaches, managers, staff, officials and achievements of opponents
  4. Not bully or take unfair advantage of another club member or opponent
  5. Refrain from any form of harassment of others
  6. Refrain from any behaviour that may bring KTC or TNZ into disrepute
  7. Ensure your actions promote a safe environment for others to participate at the club
  8. Show concern and caution towards others who may be sick or injured
  9. Not participate (or benefit from assisting others involved) in sports betting or gambling activity associated with tennis events and or tennis results in which they are participating or have been directly involved in
  10. Never argue or verbally abuse an official
  11. Always use the appropriate rules and guidelines to resolve a dispute
  12. Do not use any WADA prohibited substances
  13. Cooperate with coach/manager/staff
  14. Refrain from consuming prohibited substances
  15. Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility especially when dealing with under 18s, as your words and actions are an example
  16. Avoid unaccompanied and unobserved activities especially with persons under 18yrs of age wherever possible
  17. Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to, KTC and TNZs standards, rules, regulations and policies
  18. Do not use your involvement with KTC or TNZ to promote your own beliefs, behaviours or practices where these are inconsistent with those of KTC or TNZ
  19. Be a positive role model
