Renny
Coach at Tahunanui Club and Wakapuaka Tennis Club
Renny is an experienced tennis coach based at the Tahunanui and Wakapuaka Tennis clubs here in Nelson.
She has been coaching in Nelson since 2019, coaching players between the age of 3 (at Hira Kindy) up to 75+.
She enjoys catering for all ages and abilities. Her approach to tennis: is a game based approach. Tennis is not about the perfect stroke. It’s about playing the game and learning to play the game better. Technique is only a small part of the skills required to create the desired result with the ball in a given situation.
Renny has been a tennis coach and physical education teacher in the Netherlands and Europe for over 25 years and has a Bachelor of Sport and Physical Education and also has Level “A” & “B” coaching qualifications from the Dutch Tennis Association (KNLTB).
Renny has a great knowledge of how people move and learn plus how to make them move more efficiently within their own style and abilities. Renny’s coaching style gives people the confidence and tools to be able to perform at their best and still have fun doing it.
For Renny, having the right "mindset" is an important part of the process around how we learn, perform and enjoy the great game of tennis.
