April Newsletter

Welcome to Autumn at TKHP Tennis Club, where our lawn courts take a well-earned rest for the next six months.

The past month has been a hive of activity around the club, with plenty happening both on and off the courts. Our Club Championships have now concluded-be sure to read on for all the highlights.

We're also celebrating a fabulous result from Canterbury Tennis at the Wilding Park Championships-an achievement well worth acknowledging.

We also hosted a hugely successful Pickleball tournament, with thanks to Trevor, Warren, Christine and sponsors for bringing it to life after the rain-delayed January event.

As our club continues to thrive, we're reminded that its strength has always come from the people behind it. Each year, valued committee members step down after generously giving their time, energy, and ideas to help shape the club we all enjoy today.

Now, we're looking for new members to step forward and be part of that journey.

Joining the committee is a chance to contribute in a meaningful way-whether that's helping organise events, supporting club operations, or simply bringing fresh ideas to the table. It's not about having all the answers; it's about being willing to lend a hand and be part of a team that cares about the club's future.

Whether you're a long-time member or relatively new, your perspective is valuable. Many hands make light work, and even a small contribution can make a big difference.

If you've ever thought about getting more involved, now is the perfect time.

We'd love to hear from you, just email info@tkhptennis.nz for more information.

Pickleball:

A fun day out on the Pickleball court was had at our tournament at the end of March.  Thanks to the sponsors, organisers and participants.

Pickleball sessions are in full swing, a small tweak has been made to the schedule, allowing earlier access to the court on a Monday, essentially splitting the session into two 1 1/2 hr sessions.

Keep an eye on the Pickleball section of our website for further changes to the program.
