SCHOOLS COACHING/COMPETITION TERM 4 2023:

Entry is now open through your school sports coordinator 

Monday Year 4 - 8 Tennis 

This six-week coaching and match play event starts on 30th October and runs until 4th December 2023 at the Stevenson Tennis Centre, 33 Logan Park Drive.

A staff member will be present at the Stevenson Tennis Centre throughout the event. The gate will be open from 3:40pm for teams/players to sign in. 

We provide the tennis balls and age/stage appropriate equipment.

Tennis Otago will notify schools by no later than 1pm if tennis is cancelled. The school will then be responsible for communicating this to players. Cancelations will also be posted on the Tennis Otago Website.

Professional coaching is provided by M.A.T. Tennis Coaching.

Thursday Secondary Schools Tennis 

This six-week after school programme for secondary school students starts on 26th October and finishes on November 30th 2023 at the Stevenson Tennis Centre, 33 Logan Park Drive.

Students have the choice of attending a coaching lesson with professional tennis coaches from MAT Tennis Coaching or playing in a friendly, timed, doubles competition as a two (or three) person team. 

4.10 - 5.10 pm - coaching sessions. Students who take part in the coaching sessions are welcome to join in the social doubles competition at 5.15pm at no extra cost.

5.15 - 6.15 pm - doubles competition. The draw will be decided on the day. Students need to report to
the convenor at the 5:15pm to be assigned courts and their opponents. Two matches will be played each week, both 25 minutes long.
