Monday TERM 4 Year 4 - 8 Tennis (Oct.21, Nov. 4, 11, 18, 25, Dec. 2)

This six-week coaching program at the Stevenson Tennis Centre, 33 Logan Park Drive.

A staff member will be present at the Stevenson Tennis Centre throughout the event. The gate will be open from 3:40pm. 

We provide the tennis balls and age/stage appropriate equipment.

RAIN CANCELATIONS: Tennis Otago will notify schools sport coordinators via email as well as posting on the Tennis Otago FaceBook page and on the Tennis Otago Website by no later than 2.30pm if tennis is cancelled. The school will then be responsible for communicating this to players. 

Professional coaching is provided by M.A.T. Tennis Coaching.

Block 1: 3:45-4:30

Block 2: 4:30-5:15

Block 3: 5:15-6:00

Thursday TERM 4 Secondary Schools Tennis (Oct. 17, 24, 31, Nov. 7, 14, 21)

This six-week after school programme for secondary school students at the Stevenson Tennis Centre, 33 Logan Park Drive.

Students have the choice of attending a coaching session with tennis coaches from M.A.T Tennis Coaching or playing in a friendly, timed, doubles competition as a two (or three) person team. 

Block 1, 3:45 - 4:30 pm - coaching sessions. 

Block 2, 4:30 - 5:15 pm - Social Doubles

Block 3, 5:15-6:00 pm - Social Doubles

Coaching: Students will arrive and be sent out to the coaching court where the coahces will assit with racquet equipment if needed and further instruction. *Please arrive on time.

Social Doubles: Students will need to report to Andrea at 4:30 with their partners.  You will then be assigned to your court with balls and opponet. Play will be for 20 min, then a whistle will blow and you and your partner will rotate one direction to your left and play new opponets. *Please arrive on time

Tennis coahces will be walking around to aid you in proper racquet holding, scoring, and placement on the tennis court.

    (Entry is open to all Otago and Primary school tennis players)
