Every year, just before Christmas (15 - 23 Dec), we have a world-class tennis tournament on our doorstep in Papamoa. ATP (men) and WTA (women) players from all around the world entertain us with great battles! Spectators can watch for free; the atmosphere is stunning, and it is great to see the same players returning. Read more about this international event on the Tennis NZ website.

In 2024 we saw one of our local juniors, originally from Tauranga Lawn Tennis Club, Corban Crowther, take the doubles title. Corban got to the semi-finals in the men's singles in 2023 and the quarterfinals in 2025.

In 2025 the men's doubles title was won by the New Zealand pairing of Marcus Daniell and Finn Reynolds.

CORPORATE TABLES are available to the public to purchase.  Best seats in the house, court-side for up to eight people on a table, the whole day. Each table gets 2x food platters and 1x welcome drink; several catering and alcohol packages available. Forms can be completed on the Tennis NZ website.

BALL KIDS at the Eves Open are sourced locally and trained at Papamoa Tennis Club by TNZ Officials a few days before the event in December. Ball kids play an integral role in ensuring that tennis tournaments run smoothly. To be considered and invited to the Eves Open as a ball kid, the requirement is that you are aged between 11 and 16 years. You have to be available for at least 2 (full days) of the 4 days of ball kids duty.
