📅 Season Dates
Starts: Thursday, 16 October 2025
Ends: Thursday, 26 March 2026
Matches held every Thursday at 6pm
👤 Organiser
Robin King is the organiser and final decision-maker.
All communications and updates (e.g. Reserve List) will be via email.
Player Responsibilities
Full-time players must find a replacement from the Reserve List if unavailable.
Notify Robin by email with the substitute’s name.
Failure to do so may result in removal from the League.
Substitutes must pay the $5 match fee.
Match Format
Each group plays 3 sets, each with a different partner.
Sets are first to 6 games, with a 7-point tiebreak at 5–5.
Short deuce rule may be used to manage time.
First deuce: normal advantage; second deuce: next point wins.
Receiving team chooses who receives serve.
Scoring & Group Movement
Weekly scores determine group placement.
Top scorer moves up, lowest scorer moves down.
Ties resolved by position on scoresheet.
Special rules apply for Groups 1–2 and Groups 14–15.
If fewer than 15 groups, same principles apply to top/bottom groups.
Substitute Player Rules
Must be from the Reserve List (unless approved by Organiser).
If a sub wins most games, original player does not move up.
If a sub scores lowest, original player moves down.
Substituted player’s score = average of group or actual score (whichever is lower).
Weather & Injuries
Rainout: All matches void; same groups play next week.
Injury: Match may continue with approved sub.
If not possible, scoring depends on games completed or random draw.
Leaving the League
Replacement from Reserve List based on registration order.
New player may inherit points/group position unless deemed unfair.
Final Rankings
To qualify for Top 3, a player must have played at least half the season.
