Club Update - October 29

Term 4 is well under way now and so is the tennis season. We have had some really warm and still days lately and it has been great to see full courts and everyone enjoying themselves.

It's also been great to see new members of all abilities join the club. Plans are underway for the first "club social" of the season, more information on this will be provided soon.

Earlier in the week Scots College also held thier first traditional fixture of the year versus Huntley School. Lots of great games and good sportsmanship with Scots running out winners in the end. This is a great example of a strong club and college relationship where students also receive coaching at the club .

Vojdan our head coach has many different coaching sessions underway including private lessons or morning, lunchtime and after school/work group coaching sessions. Don't hesitate to contact him for the best coaching options for you or your child.

Community play (for kids and their parents) is also set to start on Sunday 14th (more details to come)

Wednesday night is our social tennis night (from 6:30pm). Neil Wong has been doing a stellar job coordinating social night that has also led to a few "social drinks" afterwards - Great stuff Neil!

To get involved his email is or just head down on Wednesday evening.

Round 2 of the interclub kicks off tomorrow and I am sure there will be lots of great performances across the teams. Premier 1 Women's team plays indoors v Wellington where they will be looking to gain some valuable points in the top flight. Making their debut for the club will be Pippa Sherriff and Mya Haigh - Good luck girls!

The Premier 1 Men's team will be playing away versus Khandallah led by big hitting Jaden Grinter and 7 foot tall Rudi Statkus. The lads will be looking to double down on their convincing win in round 1 versus Lower Hutt.

Many of the club teams will be playing at home so plenty of action around the grounds to check out if you are walking past.

Have a great weekend ahead!
