Let there be light

Our courts are available to play on all year round and all day long.

The lighting system was a project partnership between Nelson City Council and Nelson Lawn Tennis Club and we're all very proud that Nelson has a fantastic tennis centre that makes participating in sport and leisure activities even easier.

Non-Members

The Book-A-Court system  allows casual players to book courts and lights right here on our website! The current cost of lights per half hour for non members is $10. This cost is factored in to your overall booking cost (including court hire).

Members

There is a discounted member-only rate of $8 per half hour. This is payable when you book a court.  

Operation of the Lights

If you have booked a court and paid for lights online, simply select the court number and press enter on the key pad next to the gate. This can be done before or after you have opened the gate with your 4 digit PIN.

The lights will go off automatically at the end of your booking, unless there is another booking straight after yours.
