Winter Senior Interclub 2025: applications now due

If you wish to play winter interclub this year, it is time now to apply. You may want to keep your skills up over the winter, or just to play with a group of friends. You may be new to interclub; the winter season provides an excellent start for those wanting to begin competitive play. Matches are more relaxed and teams have a greater range of abilities than in summer and, the season is short.

Play will begin in early June and finish in August. All matches will be weekly, mostly on Sundays at 10am. If courts are in short supply some doubles grades may start at 1pm.

There will most likely be 5 competitions, each needing teams of 4 players, with 1 or 2 more in reserve.

1. Women’s singles and doubles;

2. Women’s doubles;

3. Men’s singles and doubles;

4. Men’s doubles;

5. Doubles and mixed doubles.

You can apply as an individual and I will find you a team, or you can apply as a team, listing the intending players – but please ensure that all of the people you list are committed to playing.

Juniors S9 and better and/or aged 16 or over, are welcome to apply for any of these competitions (there is no age restriction).

Summer Senior Interclub

Senior interclub begins in September. Tennis Pakuranga usually has many teams:  both men’s and women’s singles teams (team members play both singles and doubles), Presidents (doubles and mixed doubles) and men’s and women’s Super Tennis (doubles only). Matches are played fortnightly from noon on Saturdays, from September to December, and again from February to early April. In addition we are usually able to offer Twilight Tennis, played on weekday evenings between November and March.

If you would like to play interclub regularly, or be a reserve, make your application by completing and submitting the form via the link that will be available in late June.

Junior Interclub

Junior interclub begins in October and runs through term 4 and term 1. Registrations for interclub are now closed.

When you request to join a team, you make a commitment to play for the entire October – April season so please make a note on the registration form if you are only available to play for part of the season.

A family member/caregiver must be available to stay with their child when playing Interclub and may be requested to assist in looking after the team, balls & handbook on a rostered basis.

Interclub Days/Times:

Saturdays 8:30am    – Open Grades
Saturdays 12:30pm – Beginner Grades
Sundays 9:00am        – Beginner, Open and Premier Grade

The coaches and Junior Convenor will select teams after registrations close and email the team lists, draws and coaching information around mid-October.
