The post Christmas interclub season has just wrapped up with some great tennis.  There was a great turn out with 9 teams from Tauranga Lawn participating. 

The format of the new division of 2-3 person teams playing singles / doubles (2 matches of singles, 1 of doubles) has been a hit allowing clubs across the region to put in strong Division 1 teams (most clubs have a couple of genuinely strong players, but finding 4 can be tough) and a good level of participation in the journeyman divisions.

A big congrats to our D2 Mixed Doubles Team ‘Poach it’ (Gail Paskin, Turu, Piri and Michael Daniel, Moses Harvey, and Deanna Pohatu) for taking out the title against Mount Maunganui, as well as the D2 Singles / Doubles team Pao Taka (Dom Daly, Fletcher Percey, Jackson Currie) for winning their division against Otumoetai.
