Casual Play

You don't have to be a member of Nelson Lawn Tennis Club to play.

Our courts are available to members of the public as well as our members.

You can play on our courts any time, weather permitting and if the club don’t have any priority matches or events on at the time.

Access to the courts can be gained by dropping 4 x $2 coins into the slot where indicated by signs on the side of the Squash Club building.

Once you have paid, the door to the courts will then automatically unlock for one minute to allow you time to get in.

Please ensure the door is closed behind you.

To protect the surfaces, please remove any leaves or rubbish, rather than trampling them in.

Please visit our lights page for instructions on how to operate the floodlights should you need them.

Summer is a busy time at NLTC

During the height of the tennis season (mid October - mid March), all courts will be in use for coaching and interclub competition on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5.30pm until around 9pm.

One or two courts may be available for public/casual play during these times subject to official use.

Please be aware that whilst we welcome everyone and would love to see you on court, official play takes priority over casual play.
