SENIOR INTERCLUB


Northland Senior Interclub 2025-2026

The Tennis Northland Senior Interclub Competition runs from 13 October 2025 to April 2026, with a Christmas break from early December 2025 to early February 2026.

  • Mondays, 6pm
  • Teams of 4 - 8 players (only open to players from affiliated clubs)
  • A & B grades
  • Singles matches - first to 9 games with a super tiebreaker at 8 all (first to 10 points with a 2 point margin).
  • Doubles matches - best of 3 tiebreaker sets with a super tiebreaker (first to 10 points with 2 point margin) played instead of a third set.
  • $160 per team (clubs will be invoiced)
  • Each team must supply one 4-ball can of Wilson US Open tennis balls each week

JUNIOR INTERCLUB AND MATCHPLAY OPPORTUNITIES


Northland Junior Sunday Series 2025

The Tennis Northland Junior Sunday Series will run every Sunday at 9:00am from 19 October to 9 November 2025 (4 weeks). 

  • Players must be members of a club affiliated to Tennis Northland
  • Players will play singles and will be guaranteed at least two matches each week
  • Each week parents/club junior coordinators must confirm by Wednesday who is available to play that week. A draw will then be circulated on the Friday/Saturday with the players who are available to play. This means that each player does not have to be available every single week if they are unable to. 
  • There are three grades: Competitive Grade, Development Grade, and Green Dot Grade (new to tennis, using green dot balls)
  • Players will be scheduled matches against players of a similar ability. 
  • Tennis balls are provided by Tennis Northland
  • Entry fee is $5 per person per week (eftpos and cash payments on the day)
  • Format - Competitive Grade: Best of 3 tiebreaker sets with a super tiebreaker (first to 10 points with 2 point margin) played instead of a third set. Normal tennis scoring applies.
  • Format - Development Grade: One set to 6. Normal tennis scoring applies.
  • Format - Green Dot Grade: One set to 4. Normal tennis scoring applies.

Northland Junior Interclub 2026

The Northland Junior Interclub will run from 1 March - 22 March 2026 (4 weeks).

  • Sundays, 9:00am
  • Teams of two players, any gender (open to players from affiliated clubs only).
    • Minimum of two players per team; reserves may also be listed.
    • Players do not need to be from the same club.
  • Competitive and Development grades
    • Development: players new to match play
    • Competitive: players with more experience playing competitively
  • Each week, teams play one doubles match and two singles matches (one singles match per player).
  • Singles: first to 9 games, with a super tiebreaker at 8–all (first to 10 points, win by 2).
  • Doubles: best of 3 sets, with a super tiebreaker (first to 10 points, win by 2) played instead of a third set.
  • Most games will be played at Thomas Neale Tennis Centre; however, club courts may be used depending on draw size.
  • $80 per team (clubs will be invoiced)
  • Balls provided by Tennis Northland
