Vanessa has played tennis since the age of 11 during which time she represented Nelson through the junior age groups, and went on to represent at a senior level also.

Vanessa started her coaching career in 2005, and is a Tennis NZ Registered Coach.  She initially started working out of Tasman Tennis Club, and more recently has become Head Coach at both Upper Moutere & Mapua Clubs.  Vanessa has gained the Junior Development Coaching qualification through Tennis Australia and runs comprehensive Hot Shots programmes for all ages.  She has a passion for developing juniors from beginners through to capable, confident players at representative level.   

Vanessa also has a lot of experience coaching adults, and enjoys helping to develop skills and a love for tennis!  She runs a variety of groups catering for beginners through to those playing at Inter-club level, as well as private lessons to specifically progress an individual's game.
