Junior Development

Omokoroa Community Tennis Club is passionate about developing its young players. In the past we have seen the numbers in junior drop off around age 12 and we want to change that. 

This 2024/2025 season it is our mission to grow the numbers of Juniors in our club especially those aged 12-18. Omokora Community Tennis Club is very lucky to have two coaches now affiliated with the club Peter O'Dea and Olivia Desset who are also excited to help us on this journey of growth and development in this space.   

Our Squad sessions for Term 4 will start Wednesday 16th October 2024  These session are the step up from the Hot Shots large group style coaching on a Saturday. These squad session are smaller groups and will be focusing on strutured game play and preperation for interclub or just playing a game of tennis for enjoyment. 

If we see a large interest and uptake in both interclub and these weekday sessions we as a club will see how we grow this further to help encourage and challenge our Juniors.
