To play Senior Interclub you must be a member of the club. Participants can play in up to three teams. There is a fee of $40 per team you play in which covers court and ball costs.  Members who wish to play Senior Interclub should contact the Club Captain (see contact details below). The Club Captain is responsible for providing information to players interested in playing interclub and selecting interclub teams in late July each year.

Once the teams have been selected, a captain is appointed for each team. Each team has eleven matches in a season which are played fortnightly. Half of these matches are played between September and December and the other half are played between late January and April.  Before each match, the captain contacts their team members to organise who is playing the match. Matches are either played at the club, another tennis club on the North Shore, or at Albany/Forest Hill Tennis Centres.

At each match, every player will play two matches. The format of matches varies based on the grade you are playing in. Across all competitions, we field 20+ teams each year that vary in strength from social grades to the top grade for each competition.

Competitions

Singles Grades

Format: teams are made up of 5-6 players, with 4 players playing each match. At the match, each player will play one singles match (best of 3 sets), and one doubles match (2 sets with a tie-break to 10 points at one set all).

Men's Grades: Mondays or Tuesdays from 6 pm onwards

Women's Grades: Wednesdays from 6 pm onwards

Doubles Grades

Format: teams are made up of 5-6 players, with 4 players playing each match. At the match, each player will play two doubles matches (2 sets with a tie-break to 10 points at one set all).

Men's/Women's Grades: Thursdays from 6.30 pm onwards

Mixed Doubles Grades

Format: teams are made up of 10-12 players, with 8 players playing each match. At the match, each player will play two doubles matches, a womens/mens match and a mixed doubles match (2 sets with a tie-break to 10 points at one set all).

All Grades: Saturdays from 1 pm onwards
