Interclub & Caro Bowl
Caro Bowl is Auckland's premier interclub tennis competition and one of New Zealand's oldest, most prestigious sporting trophies, first played for in 1919. Run by Tennis Auckland, the tournament serves as the top tier of regional club competition for high-performance players.
The competition is named after the "Maurice S Caro Memorial Bowl," which was donated in memory of Maurice S Caro - a Parnell Lawn Tennis Club player who was killed in action on July 2, 1916, during the First Battle of the Somme in World War One.
Pompallier last won Caro Bowl 35 years ago in the men’s competition and now in 2026 has the opportunity to challenge for the title again. Over the next few days we’ll introduce you to the players that will represent our club in Auckland’s most prestigious interclub competition.
