Tennis Hot Shots and Community Play
Hot Shots Coaching
Kilbirnie Tennis Club offers free coaching for junior club members who would like to start learning to play tennis. First try-out session is free for non-members. There are up to 8 free one hour lessons on Sunday mornings in each of Terms 4 and 1 each membership year. Coaching is delivered by our professional ONE COMMUNITY TENNIS coaches and follows the Tennis Hot Shots programme.
Tennis Hot Shots is a national coaching programme designed for kids. Smaller courts and racquets and softer tennis balls allows children to develop their skills faster. Hots Shots coaching combines fun, social interactions, and meaningful play to engage children and build motivation. Click here more information on the Tennis Hot Shots Programme.

For smaller classes and more intensive coaching, or if Sunday sessions don't suit your schedule, or to take your child's tennis to the next level, sign-up for the private ONE COMMUNITY TENNIS Hot Shots classes.
Community Play
This is a play based coaching designed to give children an additional opportunity to play tennis in a fun, supportive environment. It is run by awesome junior coaches (with guidance and support from our senior ONE COMMUNITY TENNIS coaches) and enables 9-12 year olds to practise their tennis skills. Community Play complements the more structured Tennis Hot Shots coaching. The one hour sessions take place on Fridays in Terms 4 and 1.
Interclub
When children reach a suitable skill level they can start playing in our junior interclub competitions. The club provides additional FREE Novice Interclub Training for those juniors who are starting to play competitive tennis. This focused training on scoring, serving, rallying, and tactic helps give juniors confidence in their first interclub competitions
